I’m nervous to apply to some shows because the company I work for may do work with said show. Have you ever had a circumstance where you applied to a job where someone was connected with your current job?
I haven’t, and I can’t really imagine it happening.
Why would the coordinator tell a vendor that they’re hiring PAs? It’s possible that she could ask your boss, “Hey, do you have anyone there that might want to be a PA on a TV show?”
That’s not terribly likely, since the coordinator is probably already inundated with resumes (including yours). But further, why would she mention that you, specifically, applied?
Of course, the coordinator might call your boss for a reference. Assuming the company is listed on your resume, it’s not unlikely that the coordinator will call to see what kind of employee you are. If you’re trying to hide from your boss the fact that you’re looking for another job, do not include your current job on your resume. That’s just asking to be caught.
But coming up in casual conversation? Never happen.

Probably not that great, considering you can’t even keep yourself happy. LOL
