As I’ve said in the past, I like to help out on my friend’s short films.
Some of them don’t work out so well, but some of them are great. On the latter side is a short my buddy Curt produced, Asleep with the Angels.
They entered it in Open Film’s Get It Made contest. The cool thing about this particular competition is that the prize is a $200,000 budget to make the feature version of your short.
This would be a huge opportunity for his career, so he asked if I could promote it on my “little blog.” (I get way more hits than his dumb blog.)
I told him no, because my name is obviously in the credits, and it wouldn’t take much to figure out who I am. Kinda contrary to the whole “anonymous” thing.
“That’s okay,” Curt says. “I’ll take you out of the credits.”
Hard to argue with that logic.
Please, take a few minutes to vote for my friend’s movie. (You have to sign up for an account, but it’s free, and they don’t spam you.)
If they win, Curt promised me a promotion on the feature. 🙂
